The "Old Reliable" Steel Tube Drill works with an abrasive grain such as our BM-SC Silicon Carbide Grain cutting compound to "drill" holes in glass through rotational abrasion.  

A coolant (or water) is mixed with the abrasive to form a slurry which is retained by our tried and true BMW Rubber Base Drilling Ring.  The even and steady rotation of the Tube Drill against the glass will produce a clean hole with minimal breakage or chipping.

Whenever using any product to drill any fragile material it should only be done in a true running glass drilling machine such as the Tripod BM-#3, BM-#4 or BM-#41 / #41S Suction Base models. 

Other imitations of our original drilling machine could effect overall performance due to their known low quality standards. 

Be sure to keep ALL drilling surfaces cool using a Water/Coolant mixture,  Pure Gum Turpentine or any another drill coolant during drilling to ensure long life and a great drilling experience.
